Asus K43T Disassembly Guide

This guide is compatible for Asus K43 series.

 

Make sure the laptop is turned off.

 

Remove the battery first.

Remove all the screws marked below.

And pay attention to the size of the screws and put them in order. It can save a lot of time.

Open the memory chip cover.

Open the hard drive cover.

Wi-Fi network card on the right of the hard drive.

Unplug the Wi-Fi cable and the audio cable by the way.


Remove the screws securing the keyboard and the optical drive.

There’s one between the hard drive and WI-FI network card.

Then remove the hard drive.

Push it to the left as the direction shows.

Lift it up.


Draw out the optical drive.

4 screws to be removed under the hard drive and the optical drive.

Remove keyboard

Asus laptop keyboard are secured in the same way.

Push the 4 clips gently with a screwdriver. And we can remove the keyboard easily.


Always watch out the cables under the keyboard!!!!

Carefully remove the keyboard cable.

We need to remove the screws again.

Do not forget to unplug the touchpad cable and the power cable.

 

How to remove cables:

1. We can remove the power button and the touchpad cable by gently pulling/pushing the white sheet beside the cable along the cable direction with fingernails or two little straight screwdriver, and move 2-3 millimeters then we can unplug the cable.

2. We can remove the keyboard cable by scratching up the black sheet. Once the sheet turns to 90 degrees, we can pull out the cable.

 

 

Remove screws marked with red arrows.
 

Let’s keep removing the C side cover. Use a rigid card if you don’t have nails.




In this way, C side is removed.

Then unplug USB, MIC and earphone connecting cable.

 
Remove the last screw securing the motherboard. Notice that this screw is different from the others.

The screw on the left secures the motherboard.

Gently unplug the screen cable.


Remove the charging interface.

Now we can remove the motherboard.

Put the screws in order.



Remove the old silica gel.

Disassemble the fan. The fan blade is not able to removed.

 

Smear silica gel.

Smooth it with a toothpick.

Now we can reassemble it back. Make sure all the screws are in their position.
