Disassembly Guide for Asus A450 series

In this guide I’ll explain how to disassemble an Asus A450.

Turn off the laptop first.

We’ll start from the bottom cover.

Remove 10 screws first.

As the size of the screws is different. It’s better to put them in order.

Then we can pry up the gap on the side with curved hard wedge and remove the whole cover.

After removing the cover, we can see the inside of the laptop.

The design is not good because there’s no other place for air to get in except from the memory chips, which can influence the dissipation of the laptop.

And there’s an internal battery. I think it’s unnecessary.
Anyway let’s cut it off and move on to the next step.

Unplug the cable

There are 4 clips on the back of the battery, separate them carefully then we can remove the battery.

Remove the battery.

Remove the memory chips, and we can find there are 2 slots which can be used.

Remove the screws on the right and we can remove the optical drive.

Then the hard drive.

Unplug the cable.

Remove the screws securing the hard drive

Remove the hard drive.

Then remove the Wi-Fi network card.

Then the screen cable. Unplug it directly.

And the external power cable connector.

Double copper tube radiator

Ribbon wires around the fan. Remove them.

Then we can remove the screws securing the fan and take out the radiator.

Then remove the louder speaker.

And there’s only motherboard left.
