In this post I’ll show you how to disassemble HP Envy 4-1000 to clean the fan.
Make sure the laptop is turned off before you start.

Turn it over.
Remove all the screws on the bottom cover.
Pry the side with a crowbar from top to bottom. I start from the axis (near the network cable port) and successfully pried it up without any damage to the clips.
Ok. We’ve removed D side.
The first thing we need to do now is to unplug the power cable.
Remove the battery.
The fan is pretty dusty.
Full of dust.
Unplug the fan cable.
Disassemble the fan.
Wipe it clean.
